The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

passover seder

finds documents containing 'passover' or 'seder'

passover or seder

same effect as above

passover and seder

finds documents containing both 'passover' and 'seder'

holiday not passover

finds documents containing 'holiday' but not 'passover'

(passover not holiday) and seder

finds documents containing 'seder, plus 'passover' but not 'holiday'

Messi*

finds documents containing words starting with 'Messi' (would include Messiah, Messianic, etc.)
